Sentio highlighted in iConect's latest Case Study: $1.8 billion dollars and the largest settlement in US International Trade Commission history

Through its partnership with iConect, Sentio Software’s predictive coding workflow was used to target issues and identify high value documents in a two year intellectual property dispute between two South Korean electric vehicle battery makers.

With 5.8TB of data, in which 95% were documents in Korean language (277,000 documents were in different languages), Sentio’s capabilities helped reviewers find documents that were conceptually similar and eliminate those with a low threshold of relevance from the collection to be reviewed.

At the height of the review process, the client was able to run 20 issue tags concurrently and create a model for each issue to prioritize and rank of the review.

Sentio Software Receives Notice of Allowance from U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Washington, DC- Sentio Software, LLC, announced today that US Patent and Trademark Office has issued a notice of allowance for a patent of its invention of reviewer quality monitoring using Continuous Active Learning (CAL).

The patent application, titled “SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTINUOUS ACTIVE MACHINE LEARNING WITH DOCUMENT REVIEW QUALITY MONITORING” (US 16/504,206) includes claims that relate to application of model-based quality control and performance metrics related to reviewers. The software can be applied to any review (in process or new) without changing or disrupting current workflow.

In addition to applying models to already reviewed documents to determine false positives and false negatives and flagging documents that need to be checked due to suspicion of errors, the software tracks by reviewer, the number and percentage of document reviews that were overridden by the quality control reviewer. Evaluation of the quality of each reviewer is provided by issue tag, day of the week and time of day, enabling project managers to quickly identify reviewers who may need to be retrained or replaced.

Sentio has branded this unique functionality as SentioMaestro.

“Obtaining this allowance demonstrates Sentio’s approach to offering state of the art model-based CAL review technology”, stated Hy Hetherington, Managing Partner of Sentio Software. “Now Sentio CAL technology can be used to further improve the review process by identifying reviewers who may need to be retrained or replaced. We are pleased to strengthen our intellectual property with the addition of these unique features that cannot be found in any other CAL technology on the market”.
